Middleweight Title Bout Headlines LFA 61
The Legacy Fighting Alliance Middleweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of LFA 61 as Brendan Allen defends the gold against Moses Murrietta.
Allen (10-3-0) is going to be making the first defense of the championship, defeating Tim Hiley at LFA 50 to win the gold. Allen had failed two capture the LFA Middleweight Title in two previous attempts to claim it, with those losses coming to Eryk Anders and Anthony Hernandez. Allen has competed a total of thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and has only gone the distance twice.
Murrietta (8-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the LFA banner, having defeated the duo of Casey Ryan and Sidiah Parker. Murrietta has also competed once in the Bellator MMA promotion, defeating Chris Herrera by first round TKO at Bellator 193. Murrietta has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Ruslan Shamilov at M-1 Challenge 82.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 61 takes place on Friday, February 22 from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota with Brendan Allen and Moses Murrietta headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
