Eddie Alvarez Claims That Conor McGregor Is Upset He Agreed To UFC 205 Bout

UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez will be competing in the biggest fight of his MMA career at UFC 205 when he defends his championship against UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor. But according to Alvarez, McGregor didn't really want it.

Alvarez recently appeared on The MMA Hour to talk about all things UFC 205, but when the topic of McGregor came up, Alvarez took a different path by talking about how McGregor seemed upset that Alvarez actually accepted the fight.

"I don't think he should have stuff like that or should know things about how much money I am making and things of that sort…I don't know who told him or what was what. I know management teams talk in order to get deals done. So maybe it was the management teams talking, letting them know what each other got done what they have to do to get the fight done itself. But why does he give a sh-t? He seemed angry about it, right?," Alvarez said.

Alvarez even speculated that McGregor hoped that he would negotiate to the point where the fight would be canceled.

"I don't know why he was so angry about it. He seemed upset that I took the deal. It was a little weird to me. I don’t know if there was a stipulation, like if I asked for more money and the fight was off. Maybe he wanted the fight to be off. I’m not sure, he just seemed a little bit angry about it” said Alvarez.

Mad or not at Alvarez for taking the fight, the duo will be headlining what may be the biggest UFC event of all-time as UFC 205 takes place on November 12 from New York City.
