Asuka Defending SmackDown Women’s Championship Against Becky Lynch At WWE Royal Rumble

A new match has been added to the Royal Rumble match card.

In the main event of tonight’s SmackDown broadcast from Jacksonville, Florida, “The Man” Becky Lynch, Carmella and Charlotte Flair competed in a Triple-Threat match to determine who would be moving on to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 27th to face Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. In the closing sequences of the match, Carmella superkicked Charlotte out of the ring and was about to finish Becky off but Becky reversed Carmella into the “Disarm-Her” and tapped “The Princess Of Staten Island” out and now Becky and Asuka are set to clash in Phoenix.

Lynch lost the title at WWE’s TLC PPV in December after Ronda Rousey pushed her and Charlotte Flair off a Ladder in a TLC match which opened the door for Asuka to climb up and capture the title. Becky now has the chance to recapture the belt that she was never pinned for.

While mentioning Ronda Rousey, the UFC Hall Of Famer is set to defend her RAW Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble against Sasha Banks and below is the updated Royal Rumble match card:
