Cris Cyborg Issues Statement After UFC 232 KO Loss To Amanda Nunes
Cris Cyborg is gracious in defeat.
Among the most dominant fighters in MMA history, Cris Cyborg met a loss on Saturday night at UFC 232 when Amanda Nunes knocked her out to capture the UFC Featherweight Championship. Though Cyborg expressed her displeasure with not being interviewed in the cage after the fight (UFC doesn’t interview knocked out fighters), Cyborg did take to Twitter to leave a message to her fans.
Today was not our day, but I want you to know that I am very grateful for your affection! Life is like that one day we lose and one day we win!
Belt for me has always been symbolic, the most important is to be a champion in the lives of people making a difference in this world! pic.twitter.com/jsue0el4dd— UFC 232 tonight (@criscyborg) December 30, 2018
