MLW Fusion Episode 36 Results Tom Lawlor vs Simon Gotch in a No Holds Barred, No Ropes Match

The leader of Team Filthy takes on his protégé and The Hart Foundation square off against Tommy Dreamer and Barrington Hughes on this week’s episode of MLW Fusion!

-Salina de la Renta and Ricky Ortiz come out to the ring to start the show and Salina talks Konnan before he comes out to the ring. Konnan then talks about his title match against Low-Ki before leaving.

Tommy Dreamer & Barrington Hughes vs The Hart Foundation (Brian Pillman Jr. & Davey Boy Smith Jr.)

Brian and Tommy get the match started before Tommy chases Brian around the ring and Brian tags Davey in. Davey slams Tommy before Tommy tags Hughes in, Davey trying to suplex him repeatedly before Hughes knocks him down. Brian comes in and tries to knock Hughes down before Tommy comes in and he and Hughes double team Brian. Brian dropkicks Tommy and chokes him in the ropes before tagging Davey in and hitting a side Russian leg sweep. Davey locks in a headlock on Tommy that he fights out of, but Davey distracts the referee while Brian chokes Tommy.

Davey hits a delayed suplex for a two count before Tommy counters a powerbomb and hits a cutter before tagging Hughes on, Brian getting the tag on the opposite side. Hughes drops Brian repeatedly before hitting a sideways belly to belly suplex for a near fall that Davey breaks up before Hughes hits Davey with a uranage. Hughes stops Brian from hitting him with a cane before Tommy drops him with a bionic elbow. Brian then low blows Tommy when the referee is busy getting rid of the cane before rolling Tommy up for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Hart Foundation defeat Tommy Dreamer and Barrington Hughes when Brian low blowsxx Tommy and pins him with a roll up.

El Hijo de La Park vs DJZ

DJ drops Hijo with several arm drags before they do a series of flips and Hijo clotheslines DJZ. Hijo superkicks DJZ and tosses him out of the ring before crotching him on the railing and the ring post. Hijo slams DJZ on the ramp before they get back in the ring and DJZ comes back with a jawbreaker into a back elbow and Hijo hits a rolling German suplex for a near fall. DJZ then hits a running code breaker that sends Hijo out of the ring before hitting a flipping senton over the top rope and onto Hijo onto the floor. Back in the ring DJZ hits a slingshot splash before missing a lionsault, but hits a frankenteiner. Hijo then catches DJZ upside down in midair before hitting a piledriver for the pin and the win.

Winner: El Hijo de La Park defeats DJZ via pinfall with a piledriver.

Andrew Everett vs Dezmond Xavier

They exchange strikes and flips before Dezmond turns Andrew inside out with a dropkick and Andrew comes back with an enzuigiri into a standing moonsault for a quick two count. Dezmond comes back with a 619 before missing an enzuigiri and dropping Andrew with a series of forearms. Dezmond misses a back flip moonsault before Andrew hits a Pele kick and a huricanrrana for a near fall, Dezmond getting his foot on the bottom rope. Dezmond then knocks Andrew off of the top before hitting a corkscrew senton off of the top for the pin and the win.

Winner: Dezmond Xavier defeats Andrew Everett via pinfall with a corkscrew senton.

No Holds Barred No Ropes Match

Simon Gotch vs Tom Lawlor

Tom takes Simon down and they grapple until Tom locks in a rear naked choke, Simon getting free and hip tossing Tom before locking in an armbar and transitioning to a triangle. Tom gets free and they brawl at ringside until Simon suplexes Tom onto the apron and back into the ropeless ring. Tom comes back with a flurry of punches and kicks before dropping Simon with a roundhouse kick. Tom hits a release German suplex before Simon drops him with several running knees, but Tom gets angry before locking in a rear naked choke. Simon is then forced to tap before passing out for the tap and the win.

Winner: Tom Lawlor defeats Simon Gotch via submission.
