Toni Storm Talking TakeOver: Blackpool Match: “This Is Potentially The Biggest Match Of My Career”

January 12th is not far away

The first-ever NXT U.K TakeOver: show is scheduled for January 12th in Blackpool, England from the Empress Ballroom. The majority of the match card is set although some of the card has yet to be officially announced by WWE. Headlining matches include Pete Dunne defending his WWE United Kingdom Championship against ‘Gallus’ member Joe Coffey, and Mustache Mountain and the ‘Grizzled Young Veterans’ competing to the become the first-ever NXT U.K. Tag Team Champions.

On top of those matches is a rematch from the finals of the NXT U.K. Women’s Title tournament between Toni Storm and the champion Rhea Ripley. The 23-year old Storm and the 22-year old Rhea Ripley will have the spotlight shining on them in two weeks and recently Toni did an interview with ‘Express’ and told the site that her upcoming match with Rhea is potentially the biggest match of her career thus far.

“This is potentially the biggest match of my career so far. Obviously I have already fought Rhea for the NXT U.K. Women’s Championship and I came up short. I actually got injured in that match. My legs lost feeling and I went through a horrible injury. But I won the Mae Young Classic and I get another shot at a TakeOver. There’s a lot of pressure on me right now going into this but I got a good feeling and I think it’s going to be a really successful night.” Storm expressed.
