Report: Dennis Bermudez Fights Te Edwards At UFC Fight Night Brooklyn
A featherweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night Brooklyn card according to Newsday as Dennis Bermudez is in action against Te Edwards.
Bermudez (16-9-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a four fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Chan Sung Jung, Darren Elkins, Andre Fili and Rick Glenn. Bermudez hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years and that last win came against Rony Jason at UFC Fight Night 92. Bermudez has picked up sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of them have come by way of decision.
Edwards (6-2-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Don Madge via second round knockout at UFC Fight Night Moncton. Edwards earned a contract with the UFC after competing on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11, defeating Austin Tweedy by first round knockout. Edwards has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Brooklyn takes place on Saturday, January 19 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
