Ember Moon Reveals That Her Theme Music Was Stephanie McMahon’s Idea
In case you were wondering who to thank for Ember Moon’s banger of a theme song, send your kind messages to Stephanie McMahon.
Speaking to Inside the Ropes, Moon revealed that the on-screen commissioner of Raw had a hand in creating her theme.
“My theme song was Stephanie McMahon’s idea,” said Moon. “I didn’t find out until after my debut in Brooklyn. Triple H pulled me aside and said, ‘You like your song? Stephanie wanted there to be this rock n’ roll edge thing. I just wanted to make sure you like it.’ I was like, ‘I love it. I love it even more now.’ I had a little bit of say in the voice. Me, Triple H and Stephanie were all on the same page as how edgy we wanted it to be. I didn’t want it to sound to feminine.”
As with every WWE theme song, CFO$ did the production while Lesley Roy laid the vocals.
Moon made her NXT television debut at TakeOver: Brooklyn II, defeating Billie Kay in singles competition. She went on to win the NXT Women’s Title in November 2017. The night after WrestleMania 34, Moon made her debut on the main roster.
