Gangrel Secures The Trademark And International Rights To The “Gangrel” Name
Great news for Gangrel.
There have been a number of unique characters to grace the land of sports- entertainment throughout the years such as Papa Shango, The Boogeyman, Hornswoggle, Lord Tensai, Doink The Clown, Mantaur and Gangrel among others. The aforementioned characters are widely remembered for their ominous presences, unique move-sets and entrances. Gangrel is one of many unique characters that are still around to this day as the 49-year old David Heath still competes on the independent scene and recently competed at House Of Hardcore’s ‘Indie Darlings’ show on-which he defeated Alex Reynolds.
The former NWA Florida Tag Team Champion Gangrel shared some big news with the world yesterday that he has obtained the trademark and international rights to the “Gangrel” name after not having the rights since the character’s conception in 1998. He wrote the following on his personal Instagram page:
I am very proud and thankful to be able to announce after all the years of my wrestling under the name Gangrel, the United States of America trademark office has granted me the full trademark rights to the Gangrel name as well as international rights. So now I am Gangrel. I will be licensing the Gangrel name out since I already have my own apparel, hot sauce and beer and other products on the market with more to come. I’m very proud and blessed to be able to offer the Gangrel name out for licensing to the main
stream market. Please contact www.gwaflorida.com for licensing. Thank you David W. Heath (Gangrel)
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp added another edition to his ‘Making A Finisher’ series when he and Gangrel talked about the Impaler DDT finishing maneuver that Gangrel uses to put his opponents away. Click here for the full article.
