Michael Bisping To Be A Part Of UFC Commentary Team In 2019
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping retired earlier this year, but can be heard providing color commentary on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and analysis for various events on Fox Sports 1.
The former fighters commentary work is going to expand next year because he is going to be a part of the commentary team for UFC events on ESPN.
“I’m gonna be commentating UFC events going forward, so that’s interesting and exciting for me,” Bisping said on Believe You Me. “Just going back-and-forth with the UFC, gonna be obviously continuing with ESPN in the New Year.”
Bisping has nearly forty fights worth of professional MMA experience to bring to the broadcast table in 2019.
For Bisping, everything will kick off at UFC Fight Night Brooklyn this January, which is the UFC’s debut on ESPN+.
“Got the first few dates, Brooklyn, Phoenix, London, so that’s exciting and yeah they’ll be some commentary in there as well. Yet to get my first gig booked, but we’ve negotiated the deal and everything. So that’s good news. It’s exciting times,” says Bisping.
Other fighters such as Dominick Cruz, Daniel Cormier and Paul Felder are also expected to be apart of the commentary team through the UFC’s run on ESPN.
