Matt Hardy Wants A Dream Match Against Roman Reigns Before He Retires

Matt Hardy’s in-ring career is winding down, but before he officially hangs up his boots he has one last opponent in mind.

Speaking to My Khel, Hardy revealed that he would like to face Roman Reigns before he retires from the ring.

“I would say that one person that I would be dreaming before retirement because I haven’t got a chance to work with him. Now he’s gonna be gone for a little bit in future…it’ll be Roman Reigns,” said Hardy. “He is kind of a guy that WWE built around and I do I like him a lot as a person consider my friend. So I would love to have a Matt Hardy vs. Roman Reigns match before retirement.”

The only time Hardy and Reigns have been in the same match was the 2018 Royal Rumble. However, Hardy had been eliminated by the time Reigns entered the bout.

Reigns hasn’t been on television since Oct. 22 when he announced that his leukemia had returned. Hardy has been teasing his retirement throughout the year and has not wrestled since Sept. 15. He’s recently been lobbying on social media to become the Raw General Manager
