NXT TakeOver: New York Tickets Sell Out

A big show ahead.

The road to WrestleMania kick-starts next month at WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view and from that point forward it is all leading up to WrestleMania at Metlife Stadium on April 7th. On the big WWE pay-per-view weekends are NXT’s TakeOver events which are highly regarded by wrestling fans and some believe that TakeOver steals the weekend every time one of the big WWE weekends occur.

The stars of the black-and-yellow brand will look to follow up on the aforementioned sentiments come the next two TakeOver shows which are on January 26th and April 5th. NXT TakeOver: New York during WrestleMania weekend will be held at the Barclays Center and was originally slated to take place the day prior to WrestleMania 35 but WWE announced last week that TakeOver will be moved to Friday, April 5th and the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony has been moved back to the Saturday before WrestleMania. Tickets for TakeOver: New York went on sale yesterday and the tickets virtually sold out immediately.

Before being moved to Friday night, TakeOver: New York was set to go head-to-head with Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Supercard which will emanate from what will be a sold out Madison Square Garden.
