Report: Thomas Almeida Faces Cory Sandhagen At UFC Fight Night Brooklyn

A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Brooklyn according to Farah Hannoun as #13 Thomas Almeida faces Cory Sandhagen.

Almeida (21-3-0) has won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Albert Morales at UFC Fight Night 100. Almeida is going to be competing for the first time in a year at the event, with his last bout taking place in January of 2018. Almeida has picked up twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and seventeen have come by way of KO/TKO.

Sandhagen (9-1-0) is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated the duo of Austin Arnett and Iuri Alcantara. Sandhagen has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Jamall Emmers at Legacy Fighting Alliance 5. Sandhagen has seen his last four fights end via some form of finish and the fighter hasn’t gone the distance in almost two years.

UFC Fight Night Brooklyn takes place on Saturday, January 19 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
