Tenille Dashwood Explains How Painful It Is To Wrestle With Psoriasis

She fought through it.

The 29-year old Australian-born star Tenille Dashwood has been battling the skin condition psoriasis her entire life. One part of it that Tenille shared is that it was not only a visual bother to her but it is painful as well which she stated that most people are not aware of. When Dashwood sat down with Alicia Atout of ‘A Music Blog, Yea?’ she detailed how painful it was for her to wrestle nearly every night while dealing with psoriasis and how she had red, raw burns on her arms and how it could even get to a point where those burns can crack and begin to bleed.

“It was painful, and people don’t realize it’s painful either but I guess when you have an extreme case it almost feels like burns all over your skin, and it got to the point where I started wearing… you can probably look up photos from the last few months. I started wearing extra stockings. I wore fishnet stockings on top of that, so I had like two or three layers over my legs covering all the spots that were everywhere. I wore t-shirts in all my matches because my stomach, everything was covered, my back. My arms, I couldn’t cover because I didn’t have the right gear for it but you could see probably on some photos [the] spots I had on my arms and they were like red raw, like burns.” She explained. “That’s how the rest of my body was but it was even worse in most places other than my arms, luckily. But it can get to the point where it can crack or bleed or anything and then I’d have to have baths to soothe the pain. It’s a whole process. I basically stayed home for a few weeks trying to take care of myself and ease it up a little bit but, yeah it can get really severe and people don’t realize that either. So it’s good that people have a bit of understanding now about those conditions.”
