Michael Johnson/Khabib Nurmagomedov Official For UFC 205
November’s UFC 205 card is getting bigger and bigger, and now you can add a huge lightweight division fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Michael Johnson to that ever-growing card.
Nurmagomedov (23-0-0) is the number one ranked UFC lightweight, and has had an undefeated streak that has lasted over eight years. Nurmagomedov has earned a total of seven wins thus far against UFC competition, the biggest of them over former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC On Fox 11. Nurmagomedov has been pretty inactive as of late, fighting only one time in the last thirty months due to injuries.
Johnson (17-10-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Dustin Poirier at UFC Fight Night 94. Johnson also holds wins in the UFC over Tony Ferguson, Melvin Guillard, Edson Barboza and Joe Lauzon respectively. Johnson also made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 12, losing to Jonathan Brookins in the finals of the reality show.
Johnson will be competing on his first UFC pay-per-view in well over three years– the same thing can be said about Nurmagomedov.
UFC 205 will be taking place on Saturday, November 12th from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Eddie Alvarez defending the lightweight title against Conor McGregor in the main event.
