Dana White Says The Ultimate Fighter Will Continue

The UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale took place this past Friday Night, with Kamaru Usman defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos in the main event.

Many thought that the latest season of the reality show would be its final, but UFC President Dana White says the series will continue on.

“‘The Ultimate Fighter’ isn’t going anywhere,” White said to Damon Martin of MMA News. “We’re going to keep going. The design of the new facility that we’re building has ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ in mind, too. We have the money for it so it’s already done. It’s part of the money we have right now for content.”

If the show does continue as White said, it would do so on its third different network, as it had previously aired on Spike TV and Fox Sports 1. The reality show will also have a new facility for the fighters to train and compete at, although there are few details about that at this time. Throughout the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale broadcast, various video packages did air highlighting the history of the reality show.

There is no word yet on which ESPN channel the reality show will air at or if there are going to be any changes to the format.
