Lana Reveals That She And Rusev Are Going To Release Their Own Comic Book In 2019
Lana and Rusev are the best.
WWE’s resident power couple “The Ravishing Russian” Lana and former two-time WWE United States Champion Rusev have been a pair on-screen for nearly five years and have been married for two years. Lana was once just Rusev’s manager but she has transitioned to an in-ring performer and the two regularly are side-by-side on SmackDown Live and they are a team in the Mixed Match Challenge tournament.
Lana has a number of things that she wants to accomplish in her career including being SmackDown Women’s Champion and holding a title belt at the same time that her husband does. Lana will soon be checking off a goal on her list of things she wants to accomplish as she revealed during a sit-down interview with ‘Comicbook.com’ that herself and Rusev have a comic book in the works. Lana is a massive fan of the Star Wars series and Marvel and she spoke about how this dream of her’s is finally coming to fruition.
“Yes, we’re writing our own comic book. It’s actually been a dream of mine for a very long time because I’m a huge comic book fan, and Rusev is too, or Miroslav, and so, we finally found – I’m actually working with Jason Starr, who is a comic book writer and we are creating a comic book together so, yeah. I can’t yet give out the information [on] who’s the illustrator but the writer is Jason Starr and we’re creating characters. [At] least one of the two main ones will be inspired from me and my husband so, I can give that much information so far.” She continued, “I’m really, really excited about it. It’s been a big longtime dream coming and it was just finding the right person to write it and the right situation and yeah, it’s really exciting. It’s in the beginning stages but I would say within the next year for sure.”

On a related note, this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live, Rusev was scheduled to take on WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura but Nakamura attacked Rusev before the match began.
