NJPW World Tag League Results (11/23/18): L.I.J. vs. CHAOS Main Event, Four Tournament Matches

The tourney rolls on!

New Japan Pro Wrestling is keeping the ball rolling with their annual World Tag League tournament that culminates with one team earning a shot at the IWGP Tag Team Championships at Wrestle Kingdom in January. There are four teams that have yet to be defeated in the tournament thus far and those teams are: Chuckie T and Beretta, Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr.), EVIL and SANADA and the current IWGP Tag Team Champions the Guerrillas Of Destiny.

The action picked back up today and the show was held in Kanagawa and featured four World Tag League tournament matches with a main event pitting ‘CHAOS’ and Los Ingobernables de Japon against one another.


1) Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa def. Yuya Uemura & Yota Tsuji

2) Taichi, Zack Sabre Jr., Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer def. Ren Narita, Tomoaki Honma, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan

3) World Tag League Tournament Match – Chuckie T & Beretta def. Shota Umino & Ayato Yoshida

4) World Tag League Tournament Match – Minoru Suzuki & Takashi Iizuka def. Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi 

5) World Tag League Tournament Match – David Finlay & Juice Robinson def. Michael Elgin & Jeff Cobb

6) World Tag League Tournament Match – EVIL & SANADA def. Togi Makabe & Toa Henare 

7) Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii & Hirooki Goto def. Adam “Hangman” Page, Kota Ibushi & Yujiro Takahashi

8) SHO, YOH & Kazuchika Okada def. Shingo Takagi, BUSHI & Tetsuya Naito
