Scott Hall Calls NXT ‘A Dream Job’
Scott Hall aspires to return to WWE — this time to help prepare the next generation of stars in NXT.
Hall said as much in a recent appearance on Legends with JBL on the WWE Network. On the episode, JBl interviews both Hall and Kevin Nash. Hall, who has been to the WWE Performance Center previously, as chronicled on the WWE Network's Breaking Ground reality show, apparently would relish the opportunity to return there in a full-time capacity.
Enshrined into the WWE Hall of Fame, Hall also has had a longtime battle with alcohol and drug addiction. Earlier this month, he was involved in an incident at a TGI Friday's bar inside the Atlanta airport.
"My dream job would be to be back in here," Hall said on JBL's show. "But I also realize, hey just getting clean – it needs to be a long series. I think the best thing I can do for me, is to show up places and be clear-headed. Because when I’m clear-headed my phone rings. I get opportunities. And now I can show up and not embarrass myself, or my friends that have been advocating for me. I’m not where I want to be, but I thank God that I’m not where I used to be. I’m okay, and I’m on my way.”
Hall and Nash, as the Outsiders, were at the forefront of the New World Order invasion of WCW that kicked the "Monday Night Wars" with WWE in the 1990s into high gear.
The subject of a WWE DVD released earlier this summer profiling his career and personal struggles, Hall has been arrested multiple times within the past eight years for incidents that were related to alcohol and/or drugs.
