Cris Cyborg Defeats Lina Lansberg In Dominant Fashion
Cris Cyborg's time in the UFC may only be limited to two dominant, yet expected, wins, but that doesn't mean that she is still not arguably the most impressive female MMA fighter in the world.
She defeated Lina Lansberg in Lansberg's UFC debut in the main event of UFC Fight Night 95. But it wasn't a simple 2nd round TKO win for Cyborg. It was complete domination by the veteran as Cyborg pummeled Lansberg away throughout the fight. Outside of a few warnings regarding grabbing the fence, Cyborg had no problems out of Lansberg.
When she was asked what is next for Cyborg and if she has any plans to fight for a title, she said she is content with where she is and just wants to have great fights.
"I already have 2 belts at home," Cyborg said. "I just want to put on superfights for my fans and make them happy."
Cyborg is currently the Invicta FC World Featherweight Champion, but has not fought in Invicta since January earlier this year. As for the much talked about Ronda Rousey fight – there doesn't seem to be any indication that the she and Cyborg will fight in the near future. There are unconfirmed rumors that Rousey is getting a title shot, and Cyborg's future in the UFC is still not fully laid out for her.
