Dana White Not Too Happy About Nurmagomedov’s Potential Asking Price For Next Fight
Ali Abdelaziz is Nurmagomedov’s manager and he claims the fighter wants $50 million for his next bout, something that UFC President Dana White doesn’t seem too enthused about.
“Sure,” White said sarcastically to MMA Junkie.
Nurmagomedov made $2 million for the bout at UFC 229, while the man he defeated in McGregor made $3 million for the bout, although Nurmagomedov had a million withheld by the NSAC for his role in the UFC 229 brawl.
White isn’t very concerned about Nurmagomedov’s allegedly high asking price because he knows that Abdelaziz and the champion know what the right asking price is.
“They know what’s realistic for them,” White said. “They know the answer to that question. It’s fun to say, though.”
High asking price or not, it could be some time before Nurmagomedov fights again because he and McGregor are still awaiting punishment from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for their roles in the post-fight brawl at UFC 229. Those punishments are expected to be handed out this month or next month, but nothing is set in stone at this time.
