Sasha Banks Wants Women’s Tag Team Titles To Make Winning Matches More Important
Sasha Banks continues to push for Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Appearing on Conversations with Maria Menounos, Banks was asked about teaming with Bayley and WWE adding Women’s Tag Team Titles in the future. Banks started by saying that she “loves teaming with Bayley” before discussing the current drawback of the women’s tag team division.
“For me, if I’m not in the title picture then I’m not really doing anything. I’m not really focused. In the meantime, there has to be that second championship to fight after so people get behind you and know the importance of winning a match you want to win to get to that next step of being a champion,” she said. “Being a champion means that you’re the best. For me, Ronda has it, but I know I’m better than Ronda Rousey. If she has it right now, then I need to be a tag team champion with Bayley. I hope in the future that it does happen because we have so many great teams right now. We have tag matches on Raw every single week without titles. Why not make titles to fight for?”
Banks previously teased on Instagram that she and Bayley would be coming for the tag team titles “whenever they announce them.”
Twitter user BeltFanDan reported that the belts were “done” back in July. There are rumors that WWE will announce the Women’s Tag Team Titles this Sunday at Evolution.
