John Gunther Talks UFC Denver, Living In His Car & Why Elevation Masks Suck
John Gunther looks to keep his undefeated streak alive when the fighter takes on Davi Ramos at UFC Fight Night Denver.
The TUF 27 alumni had a few opponents in mind before Ramos was offered as an opponent, but he couldn’t be more pumped about how things turned out.
“I mean, I just wanted anything. Originally I wanted to fight JJ or Eddie, that didn’t work out and then at that point, I was like ‘I’ll take whoever.’ But then this happened, I’m super pumped about this fight. This dude seems likes he’s a beast, he’s a jiu-jitsu world champion and so its a real awesome challenge. I’m super excited for this,” says Gunther in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
There is a good chance that this bout goes to the mats, as the fighters have a total of seven submission victories between them.
Fans know what to expect from a John Gunther bout and the fighter doesn’t plan on changing things on November 10.
“Hopefully, those are the ones that I enjoy. I’m just gonna try to go in there and just push the pressure and see how it goes,” says Gunther.
UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
