Michelle McCool Talks Being The First Person To Hold Both WWE Divas And Women’s Championships

Natalya interviews Michelle McCool.

WWE’s ‘Evolution’ PPV is coming up on October 28th and there have been a few matches announced for the show with the most recent being an NXT Women’s Championship match between Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler. Over 50 women from the past, present and the now will be a part of the event according to WWE and one of the trailblazers of the women’s division who has yet to be confirmed for the event is the first-ever holder of both the Divas and Women’s Championships, Michelle McCool. McCool was recently interviewed by former SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Natalya for Natalya’s latest article for the ‘Calgary Sun’ and during their discussion Nattie asked Michelle what accomplishments was she most proud of on her WWE resume.

“I am incredibly proud to have become the first ever Divas Champion, the first ever to hold both the Divas and Women’s Championships, being part of the inaugural Divas table match (which is my favorite) and to have been part of the first Women’s Royal Rumble.” Michelle stated. “I am beyond grateful for all those opportunities. But, what makes me most proud is knowing just how hard we fought week after week, match after match. We gave our blood, sweat and tears to try and break down those barriers. That makes me so proud.”

The conversation then transitioned to WWE’s first-ever all-women’s PPV ‘Evolution’. Michelle provided advice for the superstars who will be a part of the historic show and stated the following:

“Let go.” Michelle said. “If there’s any nervousness, any hesitations, any insecurity, just let it go. It’s such a blessing to be a WWE Superstar, so enjoy every moment, cherish any and every opportunity and have fun with whatever you are doing.”
