WWE Releases Mahabali Shera
Don’t expect to see the Shera Shuffle on WWE TV soon, if ever.
Amanpreet Singh Randhawa, better known as TNA Impact veteran Mahabali Shera was released by WWE after less than seven months under contract. Shera had years of experience on Impact, as well as the Ring Ka King series in which Jeff Jarrett, TNA and Sonjay Dutt had a huge part in.
With Sony Six being a major source of cash for IMPACT Wrestling, Shera received a push, and the company made an attempt to get the “Shera Shuffle” dance over.
Many that Fightful.com spoke to when Shera was signed to WWE’s NXT brand in February were surprised that he was picked up, as he wasn’t known to be particularly strong in any area of pro wrestling. We’re also told that didn’t change much during his time with NXT, even though they had him working with familiar faces like Chad Lail (Gunner) and EC3.
Shera last wrestled for NXT earlier this month, where he lost to Brennan Williams at a live event in Crystal River, Florida. He’d only ended up working about ten matches for the brand, all as untelevised live events.
Fightful.com will have more information on this as it arrives.
