Alexa Bliss Explains Why She Doesn’t Need To Look Like A “Badass” Or Look “Legitimate” When In The Ring With Ronda Rousey

Alexa Bliss explains her P.O.V.

Tomorrow night at the ‘Hell In A Cell’ PPV, Alexa Bliss will have the opportunity to become a six-time WWE Women’s Champion when she challenges the UFC Hall Of Famer Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship. Bliss and Rousey have been at odds since the ‘Money In The Bank’ PPV this past June which is where Alexa Bliss cashed in the Money In The Bank contract as Rousey appeared to have the RAW Women’s Title in her clutches.

Ahead of their championship bout at ‘Hell In A Cell’, Alexa Bliss spoke with ‘Newshub’ and during the discussion Alexa explained why she does not need to come off as “legitimate” or a “badass” when she is in the ring with “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.

“I don’t think it’s about looking like a badass or trying to look legitimate,” Bliss said. “It’s me playing into my character who is afraid of her [Rousey], but talks a big game like I am not. It’s actually not that hard. My character is a bit of a wimp and is not tough – she just talks a big game. For me it’s basically trying to mesh those two characters together with the Baddest Woman on the Planet versus this wimp that somehow can win or retain a title by cheating.” Bliss explained. “I think that’s what makes it easy. It may be harder for people whose characters are tough and triumphant which mine, obviously is not, and I think that makes things a little easier to convince the fans that I am a threat to Ronda.”

Alexa Bliss versus Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship is one of eight matches taking place at ‘Hell In A Cell’. To get a look at the other matches on tap for the PPV, head over to Fightful’s “events” section.
