The Undertaker Thought That Mick Foley’s Tooth Was A Booger During Their Hell In A Cell Match
The Undertaker was confused…
The 2018 ‘Hell In A Cell’ PPV has gone past as last night Mick Foley stepped back inside the structure that put his career on the map and placed him in the hearts of many wrestling fans. Prior to the ‘Hell In A Cell’ PPV WWE profiled the likes of Hall Of Famer Sgt. Slaughter, referee Tim White, and the two competitors involved in that 1998 Hell In A Cell match, Mick Foley and The Undertaker.
After Mick Foley had already sustained tons of damage during the match, the image will always remain in fans’ heads when the camera panned over to Foley’s face while he was sitting in the corner and his tooth was visibly lodged into his nose. The Undertaker spoke about that moment during the interview and stated that he thought he was looking at a booger but soon realized that Foley’s tooth went through his lip and up into his nose.
“I remember talking to him, trying to talk some sense into him, but also being distracted by this huge… what I thought was a booger in his nose.” Taker laughed. “Come to find out that it was one of his incisors that went through his lip and ended up through his nose. Mick had basically just had two really bad car accidents, and still had the fortitude to get back to his feet, and say, ‘We’re gonna finish this’. I mean, that’s just another kind of human being right there.”
One of the other memorable moments of the match was when The Undertaker chokeslammed Mick Foley through the structure and sent Foley flying into the mat. Undertaker commented on that moment and weighed out the other negatives that could’ve came with it. Taker shared that right before he chokeslammed Foley, he moved off the piece of structure that Foley was about to go through and if he stayed in that same spot, both of them would’ve came crashing down together.
“I totally agree with that [The way Foley landed saved his career]. We’re talking a matter of a couple of inches even the way he landed. I mean, that could have been catastrophic.” Taker continued, “I mean it really could’ve, but I stepped off the panel and onto the support bars. If I hadn’t have done that we’d both have gone through that together, so if you could imagine if I had stayed on that panel, my weight would’ve probably been on him too, and then what happens? Its a scary thought.”
