Cesaro Wants Muscle Buster Banned

Cesaro does not like the Muscle Buster, to say the least.

The 35 year old, Lucerne, Switzerland native recently talked to GMA News Online in advance of WWE’s live event in Manila Sept. 9. He was asked about a variety of things in his press availability. Most interestingly if he would wrestle Samoa Joe again, after the controversy surrounding Tyson Kidd’s injury, with some speculating Joe’s Muscle Buster move caused the injury.

“Yes (I would wrestle him again) — maybe without the muscle buster. There’s a couple of moves outlawed in the WWE, and I think that one maybe be added. But I wrestled Samoa Joe before, and why not again?” Cesaro said.

Kidd was allegedly injured during a dark match on the June 1, 2015 episode of Raw, where he faced Samoa Joe. After the injury, Kidd said he would be out of action for over a year. The 36 year old, Calgary native had also said that the injury he sustained required 16 staples, four screws and a road to be inserted into his neck.

Claudio Castagnoli, Cesaro’s real name, was also asked about his biggest accomplishment in WWE. To him, it was winning a match that came with a rather large trophy: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale

“Looking back, that’s definitely my biggest achievement. It was in WrestleMania 30 and it was the first ever. My name is always gonna be on the top of that list. So suck it, Big Show and Baron Corbin,” Cesaro said.

Cesaro is a former WWE United States and Tag Team Champion. He also won the inaugural Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale in 2014.
