PROGRESS Tag Team Championships Will Be Defended In A ‘ThunderBastard’ Match at ‘Hello Wembley’

The night is shaping up.

On September 30th PROGRESS Wrestling will be presenting ‘Hello Wembley’ from the ‘Wembley Arena’. Once this show is all said and done, it will have been the biggest independent wrestling event in the United Kingdom in thirty years. With a mere twenty-seven days left to go before PROGRESS takes center stage, there have been a number of match announcements that have been made over the past few weeks with one of those being the current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne going one-on-one with Ilja Dragunov.

Former two-time PROGRESS Atlas Champion Matt Riddle will be making his final independent wrestling appearance at ‘Hello Wembley’ before he becomes NXT exclusive. In relation to that last sentence, the PROGRESS Atlas Championship will be on the line as Doug Williams defends the strap against Trent Seven and if Williams loses then he will not only be relinquishing the gold but he will be forced into retirement. The most recent announcement for ‘Hello Wembley’ was the main event of the show which will see Tyler Bate challenge the 6’4 Austrian big man WALTER for the PROGRESS World Championship.

PROGRESS announced yet another championship match for ‘Hello Wembley’ today via social media. It was made official that Bandido and Flamita will be defending their Tag Team Championships in a ‘ThunderBastards’ match which is an elimination match and the teams who will be joining the champions are: ‘The 198’, Brookes & Thatcher, Sexy Starr, Grizzled Young Veterans, the Anti-Fun Police, Aussie Open, and Mills & Mayhem.
