Braun Strowman Will Challenge Roman Reigns For The WWE Universal Title At Hell In A Cell
Braun Strowman is finally cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
During the opening segment of Raw, Strowman made his intentions known as he stepped up to Roman Reigns and announced he would be cashing in at Hell in a Cell.
Acting General Manager Baron Corbin officially signed off on the match.
Strowman unsuccessfully cashed in his briefcase last week following Reigns’ victory over Finn Balor. Just as the bell was about to ring, Shield members Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose made their way to ringside to thwart the Monster. Strowman had intended to cash in following the SummerSlam main event between Brock Lesnar and Reigns, but Lesnar took him out and tossed the briefcase up the ramp.
Reigns and Strowman have battled inside a steel cage, in an ambulance match, and in a last man standing bout. But never in Hell in a Cell.
Hell in a Cell takes place on Sept. 16 from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event.
