Exclusive: MJF Discusses His Friendship With Cody Rhodes And Getting Booked At All In
Maxwell Jacob Friedman being All In should not come as any surprise if you know MJF.
The 22-year-old thinks highly of himself, and for good reason. He’s the current CZW World Heavyweight Champion and MLW World Middleweight Champion. He’s also caught the eye of one of the most influential wrestlers on the Independent scene in Cody Rhodes.
Speaking to Fightful, MJF discussed his friendship with Cody and how his talent caught the eye of Dusty’s son.
“Me and Cody Rhodes — best friends. Sometimes we go out and do caviar tastings We do wine tasting, as well. Tremendous guy. I always enjoyed flying out to visit him. Quite frankly — and he’ll admit it, too — I kind of remind him of a younger him. Somebody who is so immensely talented at a young age. Someone who just gets it, just like Cody did. If you look back at those original years of Cody’s career, he was well beyond where he should have been in his age range. why wouldn’t he be? He’s the son of one of the greatest professional wrestlers In the history of the industry; Dusty Rhodes. As far as the perception of me being booked on All In. Why wouldn’t I be on the biggest show in the history of professional wrestling?”
MJF is currently without an opponent at All In, but is scheduled to appear in some capacity. He recently returned from a knee injury to defeat Nate Webb at Joey Janela’s Lost In New York.
