ROH Announces Three Matches For Philadelphia Excellence Event
Ring of Honor returns to Philadelphia on Saturday, Aug. 25.
The company announced three new matches for the card, including Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai taking on Tasha Steelz in a Proving Ground match. Steelz is returning to ROH after more than a year away from the company. She made her debut last April at Supercard of Honor XI, defeating Brandi Lauren. Sakai is the only female to hold the Women of Honor Championship, defating Kelly Klein at Supercard of Honor XII this past April. The belt will not be on the line in the match.
Also announced were The Best Friends (Chuckie T & Beretta) against The Boys and The Kingdom (TK O’Ryan & Vinny Marseglia) against Coast 2 Coast.
The Best Friends re-united a month ago, defeating Bully Ray and Silas Young in tag team action. Beretta had been on the shelf for five months with a torn pectorial muscle. The Boys continue to compete in tag team action despite Dalton Castle disappearing following his lose to Jay Lethal in June.
The Kingdom will look for revenge against Coast 2 Coast, having lost to them at ROH/NJPW War of the Worlds Night 1.
ROH Philadelphia Excellence takes place this Saturday, Aug. 25 from the 2300 Arena. Fightful will have full results following the event.
