Two More Bouts Added To UFC 230, Brian Kelleher In Action

A pair of bouts have been added to the UFC 230 card according to Newsday as Brian Kelleher faces Domingo Pilarte and Lando Vannata faces Matt Frevola.

Kelleher (19-9-0) has won two of his last three in UFC competition, with those wins coming over the duo of Renan Barao and Damian Stasiak. Kelleher has seen just one of his five bouts in the UFC go the distance and that came against the aforementioned Barao at UFC On Fox 28.

Pilarte (8-1-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Pilarte competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, defeating Vince Morales by second round submission.

Vannata (9-3-1) has won just one of five fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over John Makdessi at UFC 206. Vannata has picked up a total of nine wins as a professional MMA fighter, with eight of them coming by some form of finish.

Frevola (6-1-0) is currently winless under the UFC auspices, having dropped a bout to Marco Polo Reyes by first round knockout at UFC Fight Night St. Louis. Frevola also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 8, defeating Jose Flores by second round submission.

UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
