Cage Warriors Holding Four Man Tournament To Crown 145 Pound Champion
The Cage Warriors Featherweight Title has no owner at this time and the promotion has announced a four man tournament to crown a new champion, beginning at Cage Warriors 98. The semi-final round match ups will see Lewis Monarch face Dean Trueman and Aiden Lee faces Paull McBain, with the wines fighting later this year.
Monarch (10-3-0) is currently undefeated in Cage Warriors competition, having defeated Ellis Hampson by first round submission at Cage Warriors 83. Monarch also competed once under the Bellator MMA, suffering a split decision loss to Jeremy Petley at Bellator 191.
Trueman (8-4-0) has won two of four fights in the promotion, with those wins coming over Arnold Quero and Corrin Eaton. Trueman has picked up a total of eight wins as a professional MMA fighter, with four of them coming by KO/TKO.
Lee (6-2-0) has won four of six in Cage Warriors, with half of those fights in the organization going to the judge’s scorecards. Lee has suffered two defeats as a professional MMA fighter and both of those losses came by way of decision.
McBain (5-0-0) enters the tournament while being undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, with that streak having already lasted over three years. McBain has picked up a total of three wins in Cage Warriors, with those victories coming over Lloyd Manning, Sam Spencer and Steve Aimable.
