Ember Moon Indirectly Responds To Kiera Hogan’s Comments About Having Her Gimmick Stolen
Ember Moon makes things clear.
To promote the forthcoming Reality Of Wrestling ‘Ladies Night Out III’ show on August 18th, former WSU Spirit Champion Kiera Hogan sat down to speak with Fightful’s own Sean Ross Sapp about her Steel Cage match against Ivelisse, Hulk Hogan being reinstated into the WWE Hall Of Fame and another topic that came up was Kiera Hogan claiming that former NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon got the inspiration for her “Girl On Fire” gimmick from Hogan.
Kiera stated that she knows for a fact that Ember Moon got that gimmick from her and when she first saw Ember debut the gimmick at an NXT TakeOver event, it made her heart drop.
“I know for a fact I’m the reason she did it. I try not to look at it in a negative way, but in the end it is negative, because it’s something that I did first. Something that I brought to my company first. She debuted it at NXT Takeover Mania weekend. I saw her come out and my heart literally dropped. I knew what was coming after that. I got tweets, DMs, saying ‘You’re the ripoff version, you’re the cheap version of Ember Moon.’ Because she’s taken something that I’ve worked so hard to make my own, now I’m the ripoff version. In retrospect, it’s like you stole something from me, and doesn’t acknowledge she did, but I worked so hard to get to where I am being the “girl on fire,” and now I’m the ripoff version of her. It hurts me, and all the work I put into this character. I’m not going to give up,” said Hogan
Kiera Hogan stated that Ember first got a glimpse of the “Girl On Fire” gimmick while they both were a part of a WWE tryout in 2015. Both women were also under the tutelage of WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T who runs the Reality Of Wrestling promotion. As the news concerning Kiera Hogan’s comments began to make the rounds on social media, Ember caught a whiff of the remarks and indirectly posted the following message to both her Twitter and Instagram pages.
