Official Result: Gennady Golovkin defeated Kell Brook to retain the WBC, IBF Middleweight Championship, via TKO, Round 5, 1:52
This fight had the potential to be something special, especially in the early going. Golovkin dominated after the second round and was visibly angry that Brook did not succumb to GGG’s flurry of punches, but at this rate, aside from maybe Canelo Alvarez, there is no one in the middleweight division that can beat Golovkin.
