Ray Cooper III vs. Pavel Kusch Headlines PFL 6, Full Card Announced

The main event is set for the upcoming Professional Fighters League 6 event and it is a welterweight division attraction as Ray Cooper III faces Pavel Kusch.

Cooper III (14-4-0) is undefeated thus far in the inaugural PFL season, having defeated Jake Shields by second round TKO at PFL 3. Cooper III has seen just one of his professional MMA fights go the distance and that was a loss to Handesson Ferreira at Mid-Pacific Championships 5. Cooper III is going to be headlining his second PFL card, as the welterweight’s bout against the aforementioned Shields was the PFL 3 headliner.

Kusch (23-5-0) is also undefeated thus far during the first season of the PFL, defeating Abubakar Nurmagomedov by second round submission at PFL 3. Kusch has suffered a total of five losses as a professional MMA fighter, with one of those defeats coming to UFC veteran Hayder Hassan. Kusch has competed a total of twenty eight times as a professional MMA fighter and only one of those bouts went the distance.

Other fights on the card include Gomed Magomedkerimov vs. Bojan Velickovic, Kayla Harrison vs. Jozette Cotton, Abubakar Nurmagomedov vs. Jonatan Westin, Joao Zeferino vs. Yuri Villefort, Abus Magomedov vs. Anderson Goncalves, John Howard vs. Bruno Santos, Rick Story vs. TBD, Shamil Gamzatov vs. Rex Harris, Jake Shields vs. Herman Terrado, Louis Taylor vs. Andre Lobato & Gasan Umalatov vs. Eddie Gordon.

PFL 6 takes place on Thursday, August 16 from the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey with Ray Cooper III and Pavel Kusch headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
