Kane Likely To Win Knox County Mayoral Race
Kane will likely have a new job soon.
On Thursday, voters in Knox County, Tennessee will be voting between the Republican candidate Glenn Jacobs (known as Kane in WWE) and Democrat Linda Haney.
As reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, Jacobs earned 14,000 votes during the GOP primaries and Haney earned 4,250. Thus if the same amount of people vote for each candidate in the general election, Jacobs will win by over 9,000 votes. There’s simply not enough voting Democrats to cover the gap and Haney would need to attract a lot of republican and independent voters.
Last month, Jacobs clarified that if elected he will fulfill his duties as mayor but the occasional special appearance for WWE will still be on the table.
Jacobs spoke with Knox News about the difference between he and his opponent.
“She says the government is the solution and I think sometimes it’s the problem. It doesn’t make her a bad person, we just have a difference of opinion. But I respect her. She’s going out and campaigning and doing the things she needs to do,” said Jacobs.
Fightful Wrestling will report when the Knox County Mayoral race is official declared for either candidate.
