Khabib Nurmagomedov Wants To Fight Conor McGregor At UFC 230
Former two division champion Conor McGregor avoided jail time for a bus attack earlier this year, leaving the Irishman free to fight in the UFC again.
UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov wants to fight McGregor and he would like the bout to happen this November at UFC 230.
This is all according to a tweet from John Morgan of MMA Junkie:
Upon hearing the news of Conor’s settlement, @TeamKhabib just issued me the following statement: “Glad that he stayed out of jail, because I wouldn’t be able to punish him in that case. Now he needs to bring his Irish team to MSG in November and finish our business.”

Nurmagomedov would also send the following out via Instagram, but his post didn’t mention a date or location:
Ali Abdelaziz is the agent for Nurmagomedov and he claims that the former two division UFC champion would be safer in jail instead of fighting the UFC Lightweight Champion.
“There’s no more talking,” Abdelaziz told MMA Fighting. “This is the Khabib show now. To be honest, the way I feel about it, Conor would be much safer in jail. If this fight happens, the person who would execute the community service is Khabib by giving this ass whooping for the people.”
There has been no comment from McGregor or anybody from his camp at this time about the fighters next move.
UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
