Tyron Woodley Slight Betting Favorite In UFC 228 Main Event
UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Darren Till are expected to clash for the gold in the main event of UFC 228 this September.
Early betting line shave been opened for the title encounter and it is the champion who comes in as a slight favorite over the challenger.
MMA Odds Breaker lists Woodley as a -165 favorite for the bout, while Till comes in at a +135 underdog for the Brit’s first shot at UFC gold.
That would mean that a bet of $100 on the champion would give the bettor a net profit of $60.61, while a bet for the same amount of money on the challenger will bring in a net profit of $135. It should be noted that the odds for this title bout will bounce back and forth until the fight takes place on September 8.
Woodley is going to be returning to action for the first time since defending the gold against Demian Maia at UFC 214, while Till was last seen defeating Stephen Thompson by decision in the main event of UFC Fight Night Liverpool.
UFC 228 takes place on Saturday, September 8 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with Tyron Woodley and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
