WALTER Feels That Fans Make A Big Deal Of His Chops; Says That It Overshadows His In-Ring Skills

He doesn’t like when people blow up the chops.

The 6’4 Austrian big-man WALTER has made a splash on the independent wrestling scene having held the PROGRESS Atlas Championship twice, held the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship on three separate occasions and also is the current PWG World Champion.

WALTER is looking to continue establishing his name but he does not want one part of his repertoire to stand over the other things he can do in the ring. WALTER is known for his chops which have been described as “gun-shot” sounding-like chops and there are pictures on social media of WALTER connecting with the strike.

Ahead of challenging Travis Banks for the PROGRESS World Championship at ‘Chapter 74’ WALTER spoke with the Daily Star and stated that he feels like his chops are over-publicized and it takes away from the other things that he can do in the squared circle.

“I don’t make a big deal out of it. Fans give [my chops] way more attention than I do. It’s just one part of the things I do and I feel it overshadows my real skill at some point.” WALTER continued, “I always liked the realistic approach to Pro Wrestling. I never liked the funky, colorful characters.  The Japanese style of pro-wrestling influenced me the most I’d say and they are all about the competitive aspect of it.”

Speaking of Travis Banks he is scheduled for the NXT U.K. TV tapings this weekend. There have been a number of other U.K. stars that have been confirmed for the tapings as well.
