Update On The Injury Ruby Riott Suffered Over The Weekend
A day filled with injuries for the WWE roster.
WWE announced today that former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt was involved in a car accident that kept him off of this past weekend’s live events. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reached out to local authorities in Tampa where Bray Wyatt was hospitalized following the incident and learned that Wyatt sustained what was described as a “traumatic head injury”.
Unfortunately another injury transpired over the weekend as the sports-entertainment company shared on their social media that the leader of the ‘Riott Squad’ Ruby Riott injured her left knee over the weekend competing at a live event. The former OVW Women’s Champion along with Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan burst on to the main roster in November of 2017 on SmackDown Live. The trio made their way to the RAW brand as a part of the 2018 WWE ‘Superstar Shake-Up’ and in their two months on the brand they have engaged in a number of back and forth feuds with their fellow competitors.
There was no official note from WWE on when the injury took place but Ruby was at ringside for the matches this weekend while Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan were in action and Ruby also took on Dana Brooke in singles action.
As more information about the injury presents itself, Fightful will continue to update this article.
