PWG Battle of Los Angeles Results, 9-2: Will Ospreay, ‘Thunder’ Liger, Ricochet, Adam Cole & The Young Bucks, and More!
If you don’t know what BOLA is, it’s like a real-life Kumite from Bloodsport at an American Legion Hall in front of a few hundred rabid, drunken fans, bringing together some of the best independent wrestlers in the world.
Highlights from 2015 are above.
So without further ado, we present:
2016 PWG Battle of Los Angeles
First Round Matches:
Night One, Friday Sept. 2
Marty Scurll def. Pentagón, Jr. by submission with the Crossface Chickenwing.
Ricochet (Prince Puma) def. Jeff Cobb (Matanza) by pinfall
after reversing Cobb’s Tour of the Islands (Matanza’s Wrath of the Gods)
into a small package.
Johnny Mundo def. Matt Sydal by pinfall with the End of the World.
Will Ospreay def. Fénix by pinfall with OsCutter.
(By all accounts this made Ospreay vs Ricochet from back in May at BOSJ
look like HillBilly Jim vs Big John Studd.)
Zack Sabre Jr. def. Tommy End by submission with something super painful, probably.
Chris Hero over Jushin Liger by pinfall after like 5 vicious elbow strikes.
Non-Tournament Tag Match:
Adam Cole & The Young Bucks def. Dalton Castle & His Boys by pinfall.
Superkicks were most likely involved somehow.
