Pete Dunne & Millie McKenzie Win The ‘Pro Wrestling Revolver’ Tag Team Titles
Millie is excited but Pete… not so much.
Some of the stars who are a part of NXT or have been signed to WWE U.K. deals are allowed to work in other promotions all while being contracted to the WWE. It was recently announced that NXT talent Steffanie Newell will be challenging for the PROGRESS Women's Championship at their 'Chapter 71' show in eight days, and last month Kassius Ohno made it to the finals of PROGRESS Wrestling's 'Super Strong Style 16' tournament.
Another superstar who represents that crossover between WWE and other wrestling promotions is the current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne. During 'Fight Club: PRO''s show that took place yesterday the 24-year old Dunne added on to his resume' of titles as he alongside the current 'Defiant' Women's Champion Millie McKenzie captured the 'Pro Wrestling Revolver' Tag Team Championships.
As noted in their individual captions both competitors have different takes on who led the team to victory. Nonetheless that adds to the list of gold that Pete Dunne has to defend. Dunne will be defending one of his titles in two weeks as he will have to keep his eye on the winner of the WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament because on day-two of the two-day event, the winner of the aforementioned tourney will be challenging Pete Dunne for his WWE U.K. Title.
