Report: Charles Oliveira Replaces Bobby Green At UFC 225
Bobby Green has suffered an injury has has been pulled from the upcoming UFC 225 according to MMA Junkie, replacing him against Clay Guida is going to be Charles Oliveira.
Guida (34-17-0) enters the bout on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Erik Koch and Joe Lauzon. Guida had also spent some time competing in the UFC Featherweight Division, earning a record of 3-4-0 in that weight class. Guida has spent over eleven years competing in the UFC and is one of the longest tenured fighters currently on the promotions roster.
Oliveira (22-8-0-1NC) has won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over former Bellator MMA Lightweight Champion Will Brooks at UFC 210. Oliveira is alternating between featherweight and lightweight during his UFC run, but this is going to be his third straight bout at 155 pounds. Oliveira has competed a total of thirty one times as a professional MMA fighter, with only three of those bouts going the distance.
