Trish Stratus Got Into A Ring Before Agreeing To Be In Royal Rumble

Trish Stratus says wrestling was like riding a bike.

In January, Trish Stratus entered the first ever women's Royal Rumble match at number 30. She was one of a few wrestlers from the past who showed up to the event and in an interview with Niagara Falls Review, Stratus said she got into the ring as soon as she was asked to be in the Royal Rumble.

"I called a friend of mine in Toronto, whenever there's a TV show or production that needs a ring, he's the guy, and I said, 'Can we get a ring set up? I might have an opportunity, and before I say yes to them, I have to make sure I can still do this,'" said Stratus.

When she started training, Stratus said she felt the training physically but was surprised by how much she remembered.

"Wrestling is like riding a bike, it really came quicker than I thought. My body definitely knows what to do. Was I little sore? Yes, absolutely. My body was like, 'Why did you just throw yourself down from five feet up?' My body was reminding me that's not normal," said Stratus.

Asuka ended up winning that Royal Rumble match and went on to challenge Charlotte Flair at the WrestleMania 34.
