Report: Chad Mendes Faces Myles Jury At UFC Fight Night Boise

A featherweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight Night Boise card according to the Century Link Arena as #15 Myles Jury faces Chad Mendes.

Jury (17-2-0) is going to be entering the bout riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Mike De La Torre and Rick Glenn. Jury fought a total of nine times prior to signing with the UFC, with none of those bouts going past the opening round. Jury also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15, making it to the second round before losing to Al Iaquinta.

Mendes (17-4-0) is competing for the first time in two years due to being suspended by USADA for a failed drug test after the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale. Mendes has previously challenged for the UFC Featherweight Title on two occasions, losing to then champion Jose Aldo both times at UFC 142 and UFC 179. Mendes has also won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Ricardo Lamas at UFC Fight Night 63.

UFC Fight Night Boise takes place on Saturday, July 14 from the Century Bank Arena in Boise, Idaho with Junior Dos Santos and Blagoy Ivanov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
