Scott Coker Says Rampage vs. Wanderlei Silva IV May Happen This Year

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Wanderlei Silva have fought three times over their illustrious careers, with Silva holding a one fight edge over Rampage.

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker would like to see them both fight for a fourth time and that bout could happen this year.

“That’s something that we’re talking to ‘Rampage’ about and talking to Wanderlei about,” Coker said to MMA Fighting. “I would love to make that fight before the end of the year.”

Rampage picked up the win over Silva in their third meeting at UFC 92, while Silva picked up the first two victories at PRIDE 28 and PRIDE FC Final Conflict 2013.

If a fourth bout between the two were to come together, one location that it could happen in would be Brazil.

“We are working on the possibility of executing that fight down there (Brazil),” Coker said.

There is also going to have to be an agreement on weight class for the fight, as Rampage fights at heavyweight and light heavyweight, while Silva fights at middleweight and light heavyweight. If the promotion also holds the event in Brazil, it would make the promotional debut for them in that country.
