Report: WWE Wants Hulk Hogan To Come Back “The Right Way”; WWE Responds
WWE and Hulk Hogan are reportedly in talks again.
TMZ has reported Hulk Hogan and "high-ranking"officials at WWE have been in talks since a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia asked about Hogan in regards to the Greatest Royal Rumble.
WWE and Hogan parted ways in 2015 after a sex-tape racial tirade controversy and now the company is being careful about how to bring Hogan back. Earlier this year, there were reports of Hogan having a backstage role where he would teach wrestlers to learn from his mistakes. WWE officials were reportedly paying attention to Hulk Hogan's speech at the Boy and Girls Club Hall of Fame where he attempted to express regret about the words he used.
The rumors of Hogan's return have been repeatedly reemerging over the last year. Publicly, Hogan and WWE have both denied the rumors of his return in the past but there have been no statement about this most recent report.
TMZ updated their report with the following statement from WWE.
WWE applauds the work Hulk Hogan is doing with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to turn what was a negative into a positive by helping young people learn from his mistake. While he has taken many steps in the right direction since we parted ways, Hogan is not currently under contract to WWE.
Fightful Wrestling will continue to monitor the potential of Hogan's return to WWE and in what capacity he would return.
