King Mo Wants To Retire Ryan Bader
King Mo and Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader meet in a Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix opening round bout at Bellator 199.
Not only does Mo want to defeat Bader and advance in the grand prix, but he wants to retire the light heavyweight champion as well.
“I don’t think Bader wants to fight anymore,” Lawal said on MMA Junkie Radio. “I don’t think he has a dog in him. I’ve got the dog in me. I love training, and I love fighting. I don’t think he likes to. I think he’s just doing it because it’s what’s in, and I heard he’s making some money and he’s got a nice family. I’m going to help make up his mind up. I’m going to whoop his ass, and he can go ahead with his family and live a good life.”
Mo has previously competed at heavyweight before, but Bader will make his divisional debut in this bout.
The fighter plans on advancing to the grand prix semi-finals, where he plans on destroying Matt Mitrione.
“He better hope (I’m smaller),” Lawal said. “Once I get past Bader, I’m going to whoop his (expletive) ass.”
Bellator 199 takes place on Saturday, May 12 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California with King Mo and Ryan Bader headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
